Garage Company - Open House 2010

It's been a long time since I've seen my buddy Kiyo. I knew him way back in the Rudolpho days (old rockabilly club). So much has changed since then, but I'm glad to see that Kiyo and his friends at Garage Company have not. Their passion for motorcycles clearly runs deep in their blood. This past Sunday they shared their passion with us all at their open house. Every inch of the place had some type of motorcycle part or piece of motorcycle history. If you ever have a chance to visit, make sure you look up, down and side to side, cause you might miss something if you don't.

Max Grundy - Art Show - April 2

Hey everybody if you're free April 2, come check Max Grundy's solo art show at La Luz De Jesus art gallery. Max is one hell of an artist that has in my opinion shookin the kustom kulture art scene up. Come check it out I promise you will not be disappointed. La Luz De Jesus art gallery is located in the Los Feliz/Silver Lake area in LA. There's tons of bars and restaurants around in case you get thirsty before or after the show. WE WILL SEE U THERE

Max's 1950 Merc, I had a chance to hang out and photograph it last week for Custom Garage Magazine. It's one sweet ass ride.

Yamaha XS500

So far!

Before

Sooo, remember some time back we were talking about a Yamaha XS500 we'd have rolling in a while? Well, here it is, at least the start of it. Tony and Chris finally decided which direction they wanted to take this bike and I must say it's off to a fuckin good start. Check out the gold wheels! My intentions where to keep you posted on this as much as possible, but Chris has done such a smash up job I'm just going to link his tumblr. More fancy pix to come.

SEVEN SEVEN MOTOS tshirt

Yup we did it! We love capitalism, what can we say. Our new t-shirt is finally ready for order. Our SSM Tri logo is printed on a fine jersey, black t-shirt, using discharge silkscreen treatment. What does this all mean? Well, it means the t-shirt is soft as hell and so is the silkscreen. When you're out for a ride or enjoying some of that wonderful summer heat, this t-shirt isn't going to feel like hot pan glued to your chest.

Warning!

This is our basic logo tee, so we're sorry if it isn't splattered with goth wings and old english. If you want that, buy affliction, and roids.

SSM tees are a little more fitted than a standard beefy t-shirt, but they're not skin tight.

If you want it to last for 20+ years dry clean it, if you don't mind a worn down feel dump it in some warm water.

Carburetors 2

Fear not friends, we were able to salvage the carburetors with the broken float tower. Thanks to Tony's handy aluminum welding skills he was able to tack it back together. We got the rebuild finish, sprayed them down and re-installed them. The carbs did leak a little at first but once the needles settled in, everything was a go. The bike fired up effortlessly and stayed on. Before the rebuild we had an annoying idling problem the now seems to be well behind us. I wish we had video of us doing a test run, but we don't sooo you know, maybe next time.
